Draped bust resembling Yazdgird III to right, wearing elaborate crown; behind head, ‘GDE ʾp̄zwt’ (‘[may his] glory increase’ in Pahlavi); before head, ‘yzdklt'’ (‘Yazdgird’ in Pahlavi); in outer margin, ‘jayyid’ (‘good’ in Arabic). Rev. Fire altar with ribbons, flanked by two attendants; above altar, star and crescent; to left, date in Pahlavi; to right, NAL (abbreviation for the name of the mint in Pahlavi). Album 2. Very rare. Areas of weakness and with some cracks and deposits, otherwise, about very fine.
